All artists seem to have a unique vision of the world that is different from our own and Olivier Ratsi takes this in a unique direction. Olivier’s Anarchitecture collection takes architectural elements from cities, landscapes, and other areas and combines them into photographic works that force us to look at our environment in a new way. Olivier learned how to look at objects and scenes from new perspectives at a young age and as he studied art he discovered new and varied ways to interpret the world around him. He endeavors to take his unique perspectives and deliver them to us through his photographic recreations.
One of the most important statements from Olivier comes from his simple acronym on his website WYSI-Not-WYG, meaning What You See Is Not What You Get, because when if flows through the eyes and lens of Olivier Ratsi, it may become something completely new and unexpected.
