The Cliff House was designed to satisfy the requests of Emma and David, an Australian couple, who own a rocky bluff on the edge of the ocean. Modscape looked at the cliff and rocky top of the property and decided to go a new direction, down. They created a design using modular home components that would hang down the side of the cliff instead of sitting on top of the bluff. The rooms of the house are reached through an elevator on the top level, where you park your car. The home is five levels deep, providing plenty of room and providing stunning views onto the ocean crashing below.
At this time the home still remains a concept, but a very cool concept. Can you imagine living suspended over the ocean dangling from a cliff? An incredible way to live, which might produce a touch of nervousness when a big storm rolls in.
