Climbing Into the World’s Largest Tree House

The World’s Largest Tree House, aka the Minster’s Tree House, in Crossville Tennessee is a combination of architectural masterpiece and a child’s dream. Minister Horace Burgess felt called to create a tree house and felt instructed to continue building. The end result is a massive tree house that overtakes the entire tree, wrapping around it. The tree house is staggering in size, with room for a church with pews, a small basketball court, Bible Study rooms, and more. The home is made completely from materials donated or purchased at extremely low prices, with the total expenditure under $12,000. The man hours going into its creation are likely uncountable. As you look over the structure, you can see it was not designed by an engineer or architect. The structure is pieced together as the Minister thought would work.

The Minister’s Tree House is available for limited viewing in Crossville Tennessee, but you may want to check ahead to make sure it is open to the public.
