Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye Wins World Whisky of the Year

By

For those of you who like it to kick it back with a nice glass of whisky or scotch will surely want to know which company has won whisky of the year. Last year, the Japanese Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013 won and for good reason, it is simply delicious. This year, a Canadian company wins Whisky of the Year! The Crown Royal Northern Rye has been crowned by Jim Murray as the whisky of the year. The 90 proof bottle is the brand’s first ever blended, 90% rye whisky and embodies a smooth and spicy flavor profile that can be mixed into traditional rye cocktails or enjoyed neat or on the rocks. Unbelievably, the bottle will only run you around $30. Ah pretty darn fair price. It’s time for us to get some and see what all the fuss is about. [More Info]
