Engenius Geometric Folding Metal Kiosks Inspired by Origami

London’s Canary Wharf is home to a pair of fascinating new information kiosks. The two kiosks fold open and closed using a folding metal shell built using Origami principles and style. The black metal shelter is made from a series of panels mounted to match an origami folding design which actually works for the shelter. The building can be folded open during working hours and then folded closed and locked for the night. The interior surface of the origami kiosk is insulated to keep out the baking heat of the sun during summertime and to keep in the heat in the winter.

Just as important as the functional features is the beauty and unique eye-appeal. The kiosks unusual design captures attention and draws visitors towards their counters for more information. This fascinating design comes from Make Architecture in the UK.
