Big screen advertising has just taken on a completely new meaning on Broadway. Google has unveiled their new billboard which covers an amazing 77.69 feet by 329.65 feet of the Broadway skyline. The billboard spans the entire city block between 45th and 46th street. The display was built by Mitsubishi Electric and has a pixel density of 2,368 x 10,048, which exceeds 4K standards. The interactive billboard is the largest in North America and allows the public to play interactive Android games.
Google is not being greedy with the space either. Along with their own ads, Google plans to run ads for charities including ads for Charity Water and the World Wide Fund for Nature. Now if they can just figure out how to let us play our favorite YouTube videos on that screen, we’d be set.
