When you sit down at your computer there is good chance you use a Google product for searching for work or for play. You probably turn to Google’s YouTube for Entertainment, or play with Google Android on your tablet or phone. Google’s philosophy has always been to intermix serious work, thinking, and a touch of life invigorating play into their offices, work, and products. The Tel Aviv and Haifa offices in Israel showcase how Google’s regional headquarters play into this role. We see a rich combination of natural woods and materials intermixed with bright colorful fabrics and plastics. We see playful ball chairs, eating booths, desks, and other areas that allow employees to interact in relaxed spaces that inspire them to think, instead of leading them to dread going to the office.
Fitness centers, dining facilities, lounges, and scenic views abound in Google’s Tel Aviv offices. Google may attract top talent with their great salary packages and promises of changing the world, but they keep people because they provide them with work environments that make them feel at home.
