Creative Ads Show How In A Parallel Universe Your Job Might Suck

Sometimes advertising is better than anything on television, radio, or in the newspaper, and this is one of those times. The KingJames Group in South Africa crafted a clever marketing campaign directed at other advertising professionals. They head the annual Eagle Awards for Advertising Excellence and wanted to increase the number of entries this year. The campaign featured a series of jobs we would all find distasteful, but someone has to do them. The tagline “In A Parallel Universe You Job Might Suck” was a reminder that not everyone had the fun glamorous job of being an advertising creative. What jobs did they cover? Removing hair from a man’s back, cleaning roadkill, holding a target on a firing range, and other jobs you would never, ever want.

This fun collection of jobs may help the rest of us remember our jobs are not so bad after all. Unless you are that guy cleaning up the roadkill.
