Sometimes we see a home that leaves us nearly speechless in its fascinating design elements. The Purple House by Antonino Cardillo is that type of house. The flowing curved roof and slatted light openings create a dramatic front to the home. The contrasting rectangular shapes provide additional geometric interest and living space to the home. Cardillo was inspired to create this design by looking back to history when Wales, Ireland, England, and Sicily all shared common Norman roots. A time when cultural differences did not cause clashes. His design is meant to re-integrate these cultures through architecture.
We are not certain if his design has any affect on cultural differences, but we are very confident the design speaks to the hearts of people from every culture. A statement of a bold design that provide warmth, protection, and beauty under one roof.
