The old chapel on the military base was showing its age. Still a structure with character and beauty, but unused. Investors saw the potential is this elegant building, but knew it needed a significant transformation to transform it from a chapel into a classy restaurant. They turned to the architectural arm of Piet Boon to come us with a design and to help implement the plans. The result is an intriguing mix of the old chapel’s heritage and modern decor elements. A lighting sculpture became the centerpiece of the main dining room, stretching out long black arms, each holding a glowing orb.
Unique booths with round tables and two traditional chairs arranged in quartets provide another visual treat and intimate dining. A visionary transformation of a chapel which may have fallen into decay and ruin without the inspired minds of the investors and Piet Boon.
