Industrial design student Kristof Retezár has created Fontus, a self filling water bottle. Fontus is mounted to your bicycle or motorcycle. The battery powered system allows air to funnel through its funnel like front and then sucks the moisture from the air depositing into a water bottle ready for you to drink. Fontus uses a thermoelectric cooling system to extract the water and can produce about 1/2 liter of water for every hour of use, assuming the right climatic conditions. Imagine never needing to stop to refill your water bottle, because every pedal helps refill your bottle, keeping it always ready to refresh your body.
The design could become very important in areas where bicycles are commonplace, but fresh water is not. You can learn more about the concept on the Fontus website.
