Everyone needs a vacation, even photographer Bernhard Lang. During a recent vacation, Bernhard noticed the density of umbrellas filling the beaches at Adria, Italy. He noticed the umbrella were forming patterns on the beach due to the different styles of umbrellas used by each beach side hotel. He made a quick note of his desire to shoot the scene from above, and then waited. These photographs come from that next journey when Bernhard flew over the beaches and capturing the sea of umbrellas from above. The umbrellas form incredible patterns in every shot.
The colorful umbrellas paint the beaches in a way that no one at ground level would imagine, except for a photographer with an eye for opportunity. You can see the entire collection and more of Bernhard’s work on his website.
