Peddy Mergui of Israel posed an interesting question. What if designer labels like Tiffany, Chanel, Prada, and others took over the food and essential goods businesses of companies like Coca Cola, Proctor & Gamble, Kellogg’s and others? As Peddy pondered that question his artistic mind went to work and started created amazing new food labels and packaging that transforms ordinary packaging into something scintillating and sexy. Imagine buying yogurt so high-class it carried the Tiffany’s label. Your next can of baby formula comes to you courtesy of Chanel, with its amazing packaging. Even simple bags of flour are transformed into high-fashion by Prada.
Is the world ready for designer food labels that hide the reality? Probably not, but the creations of Peddy Mergui are fun to see and make us wonder how different stores would look if fashion and food changed places.
