Ikea Russia has attempted a new idea in retail genius but tapping into the power of Instagram to create their showroom online. They created the Ikea_PS_2014 feed that highlights their latest product offerings, plus tied them to additional feeds that showcase their individual product lines. The result is an Ikea website within Instagram that allows users to browse their product catalog, without ever going to an Ikea website.
The idea provides an amazing way to showcase their products, but has one glaring problem. You still cannot order the products through the Instagram/Ikea combo. The concept still shows us how brands may soon be able to leverage the power of Instagram providing easier access to images and new ideas to their customers.
